Operations & Technology Leader | Business Performance, Systems & Execution
Business performance through accountable operations, technology, and execution.
Mike Holton brings 27+ years across industrial operations, enterprise technology, and complex commercial delivery, including 16 years leading M & H Technologies with full P&L accountability. He connects company strategy to teams, systems, and day-to-day execution, with precious-metals technology and operations work across five countries. His experience supports leadership within an established enterprise as well as responsibility for a business.
Executive profile
Company-level accountability with implementation depth
For 16 years, I led day-to-day operations at M & H Technologies with responsibility for company strategy, P&L, technology, teams, delivery, partner coordination, and financial performance. My precious-metals industry experience spanned five countries and required me to connect board-level priorities with operating policy, field workflow, industrial systems, financial controls, and customer outcomes.
Business and operating leadership
Set direction, align operating priorities, manage risk tradeoffs, and remain accountable for execution and outcome.
Operational control architecture
Turn fragmented workflows into governed state, explicit authority, measurable exceptions, and reconstructable outcomes.
Transformation delivery
Connect strategy to software, data, infrastructure, field workflow, and physical equipment until the operating result changes.
Selected operating impact
Evidence of scale and consequence
Material touches
Observed reduction in an ALIGN-controlled material workflow.
Warehouse labor
Fewer staff required in applicable ALIGN workflows.
Manual accounting
Less labor required to reconcile ownership records and protect value while market prices changed.
Ransomware recovery
Multi-site restoration from isolation through full operation.
Figures are observed operating outcomes from the documented environments described here; they are not generalized performance guarantees.
Career
Operating executive, technology leader, and systems builder
HALDN Principal (Co-Founder)
Applies operational control architecture to physical businesses where workflow, evidence, inventory, and financial outcome must remain aligned. Builds public-safe reference systems that demonstrate deterministic state, replay, reconciliation, auditability, and operator-focused decision support.
M & H Technologies Operating & Technology Leader (Co-Founder)
Led M & H Technologies' day-to-day operations for 16 years. Directed company strategy, technology, delivery, customer relationships, partner coordination, and risk, with full P&L accountability. Led precious-metals technology and operations work spanning five countries while serving as primary systems architect and industrial systems designer, leading an engineering group of approximately seven at peak, and delivering live systems that included work for a major automotive manufacturer.
G & R Auto Wreckers Chief Technology Officer
Standardized technology across 12 locations and approximately 100 endpoints. Built workforce telemetry across 11 yards and roughly 100 active employees; observed about a 30% actual network headcount reduction while maintaining or improving throughput.
Farrbetter Technology Intern to CTO / Industrial Systems
Advanced from intern to CTO while building software, automation, CAD/CAM/CNC, and manufacturing systems, including the rebuild and integration of a custom 12-by-6-foot laser cutter.
Flagship operating system
ALIGN
A vertically integrated control platform for precious-metals recovery and recycling operations, connecting field purchasing, identification, chain of custody, physical processing, laboratory measurement, changing market-price risk, final payment, customer visibility, and audit evidence.
The operating problem
Precious-metal-bearing material changed hands and physical form before laboratory results established its final value, while customers and suppliers still had to be paid. Paper, memory, and disconnected systems could not reliably show who owned each batch, what it was likely worth, where price-change risk remained, or whether final payment matched the material's full history.
The control model
ALIGN treated every purchase as a traceable chain: mobile field capture, local operation during internet outages, synchronized records, centralized identification and valuation, custody tracking, laboratory-result reconciliation, controls that protected margins while market prices moved, financial ledger updates, and audit-ready evidence.
Why it matters: ALIGN demonstrates the ability to design, build, deploy, and operate a system where software, industrial hardware, human behavior, analytical uncertainty, and financial consequence all meet.

Inspect the engineering, not just the claims
The public proof combines clean-room reference repositories with live product systems. It demonstrates architecture and operating depth without publishing former employers' or customers' proprietary systems, data, or source code.

Available for a new operating leadership role
Mike is available for operations leadership, program delivery, and technology or transformation leadership roles, as well as permanent President, COO, General Manager, CTO/CIO, and Operating Partner opportunities and selected interim executive engagements. Remote, Salem/Portland, and southwest-Washington opportunities are preferred; travel is available.
HALDN is currently a pre-revenue software and operating venture. For a permanent role, it can continue outside working hours or under other leadership, subject to the employer's conflict and intellectual-property policies.
President, COO, or General Manager
Operating leadership for an industrial, distributed, multi-site, or technology-enabled business that needs strategy and execution held by one accountable leader.
CTO/CIO or transformation leader
A role where technology architecture, operating accountability, and frontline execution must remain connected.
Operating Partner or interim executive
Stabilization, control repair, and focused execution where custody, inventory, measurement, workflow, and economics have drifted apart.
